资源简介:
The data shows intrinsic viscosities (at infinity dilution) of polymeric blends of stud plant mucilage (SpM) with guar gum (GG) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). Stud plant is a perennial plant that is found in abundance in southern and east Africa. Studies of synergism or interactions of stud plant mucilage with common gums can be of significance in optimizing its properties and widen its applications in various industries such as food or pharmaceutical. The data shows flow time in the Ostwald viscometer measured in a controlled water bath at 27+/-0.1 Degrees Celcius. The solution contains relative portions of stud plant mucilage with either guar gum or carboxymethyl cellulose, at a concentration of 0.05g/dL. The blends were in SpM to GG or CMC ratios (SpM:GG or SpM:CMC) of 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75 & 0:100. We further evaluate the effects of salt concentrations on the intrinsic viscosity of the blends at 0, 20 & 40mM. All tests were done in 3 replicates. The time in which the solution flows through the Ostwald viscosity was measured in seconds.
