Research dataset on Brillouin amplification extraction technology of optical frequency comb frequency
收藏资源简介:
The power of a single comb tooth (optical mode) in an optical frequency comb is usually very low (tens of nW), and extracting a single comb tooth for amplifying the optical frequency comb is of great significance. Based on the narrowband characteristics of stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fibers, we propose a high gain, fully polarized fiber Brillouin amplifier to amplify and extract individual modes in the optical comb. Through experiments and numerical simulations, the gain and noise characteristics of the Brillouin amplification process were studied, and the parameters of the amplifier were optimized to achieve optimal amplification performance. Enhanced Brillouin gain was obtained by using a shorter polarization maintaining fiber as the gain medium. In the experiment, one mode in the femtosecond comb was directly amplified to the watt level, with a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 45 dB and a side mode suppression ratio exceeding 60 dB. This dataset is the experimental data for this study.
