Transcriptome analyses were performed to research the mechanisms underlying adaptive response of Rorippa aquatica by differentiating chloroplast in epidermal cells termed Epidermal chloroplast differentiation in response to submergence (ECD). ECD is differentiated from specialized plastid, and it is important adaptive strategy to optimize photosynthetic efficiency and protection under aquatic conditions. Plants were treated with time course terrestrial and submerged conditions from 0 Day, 1 day, 2 day and 4 day and then, RNA collected from whole leaves and leaf abaxial epidermis tissues were sequenced.
