Abreviations: One single measurement (flight of the drone on patternator, Water Sensitive paper or filter paper have been indicated as follows: Example “XR-1-P”: Nozzle – Repetition - Measuring Method Nozzle: 3 types of nozzles have been used XR, TXA, IDK Repetition: 1-3 Measuring method: patternator – water sensitive paper – filter paper So XR-1-P is the measurement with the XR nozzle, first repetition on patternator Distance cm: The distance indicates the length of the patternator, the water sensitive paper and the filter paper which ware all 600 cm. The single measuring length of the different methods were different. Patternator had 10 cm wide grooves, filter paper strips were 25 cm long and water sensitive paper strips were 20 cm long. Measuring methods Patternator used with 10 cm measuring width per cylinder. Milliliters “ml” of liquid per cylinder are measured. Water Sensitive Paper: Coverage 1 = 100 % has been measured using image anlysis, 20 cm strips have been analysed Filter: Deposits on filter paper have been measured, recovery of the product (product/m2) is indicated in percents. Standardisation of data to 20 cm units Patternator: To standardise the original measuring length of 10 cm to 20 cm two measuring grooves of 10 cm just have been added. Water sensitive paper: the original values of the 20 cm strips have been used Filter paper: New values (20 cm length) are calculated out of old values (25 cm length) attributing them the linear weight of the different length of the included measurements Value for 20 cm = value of original 25 cm value (FP25) Value for 40 cm = (FP25 * 5/20+FP50*15/20) (“5 cm of FP25 and 15 cm of FP50” are taken) Value for 60 cm =(FP50*10/20+FP75*10/20) (“10 cm of FP50 and 10 cm of FP75” are taken) Value for 80 cm =(FP75*15/20+FP100*5/20) (“15 cm of FP75 and 5 cm of FP100” are taken) Value for 100 cm = FP100 and so on Data standardised, Max. = 100 % The maximum of each measurement was linearly standardised to 100 % to be able to compare the relative distributions of the different measurements. Shift of the curves: The curves were manually adjusted to have the maximum at 300 cm.
