Purpureocillium lilacinum was considered one of the most promising biological control agents of plant parasitic nematodes and other insects, as well as other plant pathogens. We sequenced genomes of two isolates of PLBJ-1 and PLFJ-1, and performed genomics and transcriptomic analysis, especially secondary metabolite clusters. Experimental technique, such as Gene knockdown, was used to identify biosynthetic pathways in P. lilacinum.
