Project in the ANR-20-CE28-0010 COMTACT This study describes a relatively simple approach to calculating the tactile pleasantness of a wide range of textile fabrics from three physical criteria, linked to the roughness/smoothness, hardness/softness and stickiness/slipperiness, represented respectively by the Rz5 (average of the maximum height of the profile) criterion, the transverse compressibility, and a specific criterion called the relative variation of friction. Based on these specific criteria, a pleasantness criterion is proposed, calculated and compared to the perceived pleasantness obtained from a sensorial analysis by a human panel. This dataset concerns the mechanical data used to obtain the calculated tactile pleasantness and the sensorial data obtained from a human panel for the evaluation of the perceived tactile pleasantess. There are 3 groups of data: - Participants: concern the participants of the human panel and the mean hydration of their finger used for the tactile tasks; - Perception: is the percieved pleasantness for the 15 textile fabrics investigated from the participants of the sensorial analysis experiment; - Physical measurements: the data concerning the roughness, the compressibility and the friction characterisation of the 15 textile fabrics investigated.
