In our study, a microbial consortium H-1, with stable THF-degrading ability and microbial community structure, was isolated from activated sludge. Samples from every ten generations during the 50 generations of subculture of H-1 were collected at the logarithmic growth phase. Samples were also collected from the 50th generation of H-1 at 24, 72 and 144 h.
