Cross-cultural evaluation of a pro-conservation mobile game, Save The Purple Frog

‘Save the Purple Frog’ is a mobile platform game which aims to educate players about the threats faced by the purple frog (<i>Nasikabatrachus sahyadrensis</i>). We evaluated the impact of this free-to-play mobile game on the pro-conservation attitudes and behaviours of residents in the UK and India.<br><br>This was a pre-registered study with a between-subjects design (https://aspredicted.org/kj2nr.pdf). Participants were randomly assigned to one of two treatment conditions: 1. Playing OTEC’s Save the Purple Frog. 2. Playing a non-environmental mobile game, a generic version of the classic arcade game Frogger Retro Jumping Frog
