资源简介:
The primary goal of this study was to determine whether mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) occurring at a presymptomatic stage differentially affects the gut microbiota endocannabinoidome (eCBome) axis in wild type (WT) and APP SWE mice. Specifically, we aimed to:Characterize trauma induced alterations in gut microbiota composition and microbial metabolites.Assess markers of intestinal inflammation and barrier integrity following mTBI.Evaluate changes in intestinal endocannabinoid signaling as a potential compensatory mechanism.Determine whether these peripheral alterations are associated with behavioral outcomes and hippocampal neurochemical changes.By comparing WT and APP SWE mice, we sought to understand whether a genetic predisposition to Alzheimer s disease modifies the intestinal and neurobehavioral response to brain trauma.
