Open Music Europe Live Music Census Audience Survey
收藏资源简介:
The Open Music Europe (OpenMusE) Audience Survey was undertaken as a part of the first pan-European Live Music Census survey data collection. The survey was made available online via a QR code to audiences in Helsinki (Finland), Lviv (Ukraine), Vilnius (Lithuania), Mannheim and Heidelberg (Germany) by the research distributors on the Live Music Census Snapshot Date of 11th October 2024 for a two-week period, to collect audiences' views and experiences on the local live music scenes. The survey was promoted for audiences via posters, glass coasters and flyers distributed by the local research teams in the days preceding the Snapshot date as well as through circulating the materials in live music events on the Snapshot date. The survey included questions on respondents' background information (gender, age, place of residence), general genre, venue and venue capacity preferences and overall satisfaction on the local scene, means of transport and expenditure on transport, tickets, food and drink, merchandise and accommodation when attending live music events on the Snapshot date, statements regarding views on safety, the motivation for attending live music events and obstacles in the way of live music attendance, views on live music events' economic and social responsibility, with an open question 'Why do you think a healthy live music scene is important in your city?' closing the survey. The aim of the survey was to map local audiences' views and experiences on the cultural, economic and social meaning and value of live music in their city. The audience survey received a total of 409 responses across the Census cities, with 164 responses from Helsinki, 52 replies from Lviv, 118 from Vilnius, 68 from Mannheim and 7 from Heidelberg.
