资源简介:
Cultivated sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) belong to diploid crop species (2n = 2x = 26), and it is a member of the family Pedaliaceae and order Lamiales. Lamiales is one of the largest orders of flowering plants, with representatives found all over the world. This order includes approximately 23,000 species divided into about 24 families, which includes many well-known or economically important members such as olive, sesame, lavender and mint. Most of these species lack intensive genetic study. Sesame is one of the most ancient crops and an important oilseed crop grown widely in tropical and subtropical areas. Sesame had earned the poetic label “queen of oilseeds”, because of the high yield of oil and quality of the seed. Sesame oil also characterized of the highest antioxidant content such as oil-soluble sesamin and sesamolin, which had been proved to be beneficial for human health.
