Adipose tissue (AT) is an essential endocrine organ which undergoes significant changes during aging. Functions of vascular endothelial cells are altered in aged AT, and markedly affect the metabolic homeostasis of AT. However, little is known about the aged alterations of EC in AT, and whether and how their metabolic changes contribute to AT aging. Stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cells in inguinal subcutaneous adipose tissues (SAT) were isolated from young (3-months-old, n=4) and old (18-months-old, n=3) mice and subjected to single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) using 10x Genomics platform.
