Field studies on sediment motion in turbid fringing reefs remain scarce. Using co-located acoustic Doppler sensors and sediment traps, we quantified how energetic winter swells resuspend < 15 µm particles, how tides redistribute the resulting nepheloid layer, and how these processes define a ~6 h exposure window for the dominant coral, massive Goniopora. Data will be added to this folder as they are published.
