Wekiva River GW Recharge Area delineated from 1995 calibrated particle tracking methodology

Note: As of 03/06/2009, this boundary supersedes all other version produced at SJRWMD, until data needs change. This boundary represents the estimated Floridan Aquifer recharge area in the Wekiva Basin, in Lake, Orange and Seminole counties, Florida. This does not represent the full springshed capture zone. The full springshed capture zone has not been delineated using MODFLOW. The area was created based upon a particle tracking methodology, using the USGS model MODPATH as the simulation tool, to trace particles of water from their destination back to their source. The MODPATH analysis is based upon the SJRWMD regional model of the East-Central Florida (ECF) model, as documented by B. McGurk in SJ2002-3, search https://www.sjrwmd.com.
