收藏资源简介:
This article explores the sociopragmatic relations of communication in English and Uzbek literary discourse, emphasizing how language reflects and shapes social interaction, cultural norms, and interpersonal relationships within texts. It examines the ways in which characters perform speech acts, employ politeness strategies, and utilize pragmatic markers to negotiate social roles, assert authority, or express solidarity. Through a comparative analysis, the study highlights both universal patterns of communication and culture-specific strategies that distinguish English and Uzbek literary traditions. English texts often foreground individual autonomy, indirectness, and nuanced conversational implicature, while Uzbek texts frequently reflect hierarchical structures, collective values, and culturally embedded forms of respect and deference. The article demonstrates that sociopragmatic analysis is crucial for understanding character development, narrative dynamics, and the conveyance of moral, social, and ideological messages in literature. By investigating these interactions, the study underscores the essential role of sociopragmatics in bridging linguistic, cultural, and literary perspectives, providing deeper insight into how communication operates within literary contexts.
