Olanzapine is a first-line drug for the treatment and prevention of schizophrenia relapse, but its clinical application is limited by side effects such as obesity and glucose-lipid metabolism disorders. These side effects result in low patient adherence and significantly affect the therapeutic efficacy. Therefore, using drugs to antagonize olanzapine-induced obesity and metabolic disorders has important clinical significance in improving patient compliance and therapeutic outcomes. This study aims to clarify the preventive and therapeutic effects of Jiangtang Formula on olanzapine-induced glucose and lipid metabolism disorders and its underlying mechanisms. By combining network pharmacology predictions with in vivo experiments, the study investigates whether the Jiangtang Formula can regulate olanzapine-induced glucose and lipid metabolism disorders via the AMPK pathway and gut microbiota modulation. The goal is to scientifically elucidate the pharmacological mechanisms of this formula and enrich the scientific understanding of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compatibility and its multi-target, multi-level pharmacological actions.
