Data of PJ experiments on SPSS

Although prior research has widely analyzed Peace Journalism's (PJ) application in media coverage, limited attention has been paid to its effect on audiences. This study addresses this gap through three experiments that recruited 317 Taiwanese university students. Each experiment used a between-subjects design to compare participants' responses to PJ- versus War Journalism (WJ)-framed news stories (IVs) on three conflicts: Bahrain’s uprising, Syria’s war, and the China-Taiwan conflict. Responses were measured using a designed propaganda-narrative scale (DV). The results showed that exposure to PJ reduced acceptance of propaganda narratives. Also, political attitudes—but not prior knowledge—moderated the PJ effect in the Taiwan-focused experiment.
