资源简介:
This dataset presents the justified permeability graphs (JPGs) and the results of Convex Map Analysis (CMA) for 19 domestic case studies in Tehran, analysed as part of the study “The Closed Open Kitchens: Spatial and Visual Analysis of Iranian Kitchens Over the Last Century.” The case studies span five distinct historical periods from 1900 to 2020.
The JPGs are provided as JPEG images, created in Microsoft Visio, and visually represent the spatial configuration of each case study by mapping convex spaces as nodes and their connections (doors and passages) as edges. These diagrams illustrate the relative depth and connectivity of each space within the home, with a focus on the kitchen’s role in the spatial layout.
The CMA results are included in Excel files exported from DepthmapX. They contain key space syntax measures such as depth, relative asymmetry (RA), real relative asymmetry (RRA), control, and integration values for each convex space. These metrics provide insight into how kitchens relate spatially to the rest of the home, indicating degrees of spatial segregation or integration.
