资源简介:
Strain Par-f-2 is a novel aerobic, moderately thermophilic bacterium inhabiting in hot water emerging from a 2775 m-deep well in Tomsk region (Western Siberia, Russia). The cells of the novel strain are motile non-sporulating straight or curved rods. The novel isolate grew at 25-60⁰C (optimum 50-54⁰C) and pH 7.0 -9.2 (optimum 8 – 8.5). The isolate was able to use yeast extract as a substrate for growth. 16S rRNA gene-based phylogenetic analysis showed that strain Par-f-2 was a member of family Rhodocyclaceae (phylum Proteobacteria). 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Azoarcus indigens and Thauera butanivorans, the closest relatives, were 95.1 % and 95.0 %, respectively. This study is aimed to give genomic and phylogenetic insights into metabolic features of strain Par-f-2.
