Enterococcus sp. AD013-P3 Genome sequencing. Enterococcus sp. AD013-P3

A enterococcal strain, designated AD013-P3, was isolated from the stool sample of a child with Atopic Dermatitis. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA full-gene sequencing revealed highest sequence similarity to Enterococcus diestrammenae (98.7%), followed by Enterococcus asini (97.8%). On the basis of phylogenetic, genotypic and phenotypic data, we propose to classify this isolate as representative of a novel species of the genus Enterococcus.
