Smart Warehouse Management for SMEs: A Low-Code Digital Transformation Approach

Small and medium enterprises currently contribute to around 60% of GDP in Indonesia. However, many of them still do not leverage the benefit of information technology to support their activity yet. Meanwhile, rapid technology development has been transforming the business in many industries, and also increasing the competition. Therefore, SMEs need to be aware and start to apply available technology to increase competitiveness. In this paper, a warehouse management system is developed using power apps to support warehouse management activity in one small medium enterprise that focuses on distributing fresh fruit. The application helps to eliminate manual and redundant activities such as manual entry, re-copying reports, and other activities that are very time-consuming. Besides digitizing the process, the system also can provide recommendations about which products have near expiry dates or have low stock levels. Thus, the company could use its time and resources to achieve more strategic goals rather than the operational routine that has low value-added.
