NRS-4035 | Census of Aboriginal and non-English speaking background students

This series consists of returns from government primary and secondary schools showing the number of pupils in each grade who are of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island descent or who are of a non-English speaking background. Twenty two community languages are listed. The 1986 Census returns for Aboriginal and non-English speaking pupils in the Correspondence School, schools for the blind, schools for the moderately intellectually handicapped and pre-schools will be found at 12/14218.1 in the series Returns of age grade distributions for special schools. The forms are grouped into separate bundles for primary and secondary schools, then divided into metropolitan and country schools, then filed alphabetically by name of region and finally alphabetically by name of school.
