A bioaugmentation-based biological contact oxidation reactor for textile dyeing wastewater treatment

In this study, modified polyamide fibers (MPF) are used as biocarriers to enrich dense biofilms in a multi-stage biological contact oxidation reactor (MBCOR). MBCOR is partitioned into a wastewater treatment zone (WTZ) and a bioaugmentation zone (BAZ) to enhance the removal of methyl orange (MO) and its metabolites while minimizing sludge yields.
