Proteome database of Shewanella baltica ATCC BAA-1091

Shewanella baltica is a Gram-negative bacterium important in fish spoilage. However, much remains to be known about this microorganism. This work presents the proteome database of S. baltica ATCC BAA-1091 by parsing its annotated proteome downloaded from UniProt. Comprising protein name, amino acid sequence, number of residues, molecular weight, and nucleotide sequence of each protein in the proteome, the resource should find use in a variety of biological studies such as gaining an appreciation of the metabolic capabilities of the bacterium, as well as its pathogenesis mechanisms in fish.
