Genome sequencing of ECTVs with modifications in the vIFNBP

Poxviruses are masters regulators of the interferon (IFN) based host response. Among the viral strategies they use we can find a secreted viral IFN decoy receptor or viral IFN binding protein (vIFNBP). In this study diverse recombinant ectromelia viruses (ECTV) were generated to analyze the relevance of each of the vIFNBP domains in the poxvirus pathogenesis. The genome of these generated viruses were fully sequenced and the corresponding raw data can be found in this study.
