The study was focus on changes in metabolomics and fatty acid profiles of colostrum collected from two consecutive parities of Black Bengal dams delivered during hot (HC) and cold condition (CC). The alterations in constituents may involve many factors such as the diet or metabolic changes in response to temperature changes. Nevertheless, all dams were fed similarly for both concentrate and roughage throughout the year. Changes in metabolites and fatty acid profiles suggests a possible shift of nutrient utilization from carbohydrate during HC to fat during CC suggesting neurohumoral alteration in response to heat adaptation in subtropical area.
