NSW - CRA/RFA - Forests - All Regions - National Estate - Natural History: Threatened Plants, Endangered Lichens, Mosses and Liverworts

Localities for Threatened Plant Species was derived from the listings of threatened plant species in Schedules 1 and 2 of the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 No. 101, and from the Australian Plant Name Index database. Where the type localities of threatened plant species were known, these were geographically referenced.\n\nLocalities for Endangered Lichens, Mosses and Liverworts is a database constructed from data derived from the publication "A Conservation Overview of Australian Non-marine Lichens, Bryophytes, Algae and Fungi" Wildlife Australia 1997. Known localities of endangered lichens, mosses and liverworts were derived from tables in the publication and geographically referenced.\n\nThese assessments were carried out as part of the Identification of Places of Natural History Significance project in New South Wales Comprehensive Regional Assessment (CRA) of Regional Forest Agreeement (RFA) regions.\n\nThese datasets have been assessed against the following National Estate sub-criterion:\nC1: Importance for information contributing to a wider understanding of Australian natural history, by virtue of its use as a research site, teaching site, type locality, reference or benchmark site.\n\nThese are archived datasets owned by the Australian Government under the NSW Regional Forest Agreements (RFA) Data Agreement of 31 March 2000.This data is available to the public from the Department and may be used by third parties for unrestricted use provided that the copyright interests of the owners are protected.\n\nAny reproduction of this dataset must carry the following statement:\nCopyright Commonwealth of Australia 1998.\nDepartmental Deed
