Global gene expression analysis of THP-1 cells (a monocytic cell line) transfected with hsa-let-7a-5p mimics.

In our previous study, HAS-Let-7A-5P was significantly upregulated in the plasma of atopic patients. To study the function of hsa-let-7a-5p, which is significantly upregulated in the plasma of atopic patients, we performed mimic-transfected THP-1 cells, a mononuclear cell line, and performed comprehensive genetic analysis. THP-1 cells were transfected with let-7a-5p mimics or negative controls and RNA was extracted. The RNA was then used for hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays.
