A database of genes showing differences in expression in synovium tissues and normal synovium tissues of Korean patients with advanced osteoarthritis was established. Overall design: Synovium tissue in osteoarthritis patients was secured when operating, and normal tissue was secured in patients requiring surgery due to sports damage. Confirmation of synovial tissue was performed by a pathologist and whole transcriptomic analysis was performed with the identified tissue.
