Bacillus velezensis LC1 was isolated from the gut of Cyrtotrachelus buqueti, in which the symbiotic bacteria showed bamboo lignocellulose degradation ability, and exhibited various cellulase activities. In the study, we conducted the genome-sequencing, indicated that the B. velezensis LC1 has a potential capability in degrading bamboo lignocellulose components and transforming lignocelluloses into ethanol.
