Anonymized Matchmaking Text Dataset from Chinese Social Platforms (December 2025 – April 2026)

This dataset contains matchmaking-related texts collected from seven platforms: Douban, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, Baidu Tieba, Weibo Super Topic, Qingteng Love, and Ergou App. Data were collected from December 2025 to April 2026 from publicly visible sections of these platforms where users voluntarily post matchmaking profiles, self-introductions, and partner preferences. To protect user privacy, the dataset has been rigorously anonymized: all usernames, contact information, specific employer names, school names, and street-level addresses have been removed or generalized. Core matchmaking variables such as age, income, height, and weight have been retained as key variables for the grounded theory coding of the "Four-Dimensional Environmental Selection Theory" in this study. This dataset comprises approximately one-third of the full dataset, representing the core data that primarily support the research findings.
