Protected Historic Shipwrecks in the Isles of Scilly

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Maritime Archaeology Society (CISMAS) was formed in 2004 to promote underwater archaeology in the south west. CISMAS has undertaken survey and investigation on all of the protected historic shipwrecks in the Isles of Scilly as well as those in West Cornwall. This work, directed by Kevin Camidge, was often commissioned by Historic England. CISMAS has endeavoured to involve members of the public in all of its projects, many of which were largely undertaken by avocational diving teams.
