Biodiversity and Gene Expression of Microbial Communities in Hudson Bay

Hudson Bay experiences altered freshwater influxes because of hydroelectricity projects in Manitoba and Qubec. These are expected to have an important impact on microbial communities in the bay. Stations were selected within the rivers influence and at increasing distance from the freshwater plumes and samples were collected to characterize the composition, diversity, and function of the microbial community.
