Cellulomonas sp. A375-1 Genome sequencing and assembly. Cellulomonas sp. A375-1

The purpose of this study was to identify and characterize a novel species in the bacterial genus Cellulomonas. Cellulomonas spp. are known for cellulolytic abilities and contribute to the global carbon cycle. They are also used in the production of cellulose-based bio-fuels. Characterization of this using whole genome sequencing will provide a better understanding of the genetic potential of this bacterium and its potential for industrial applications.
