EPM26519 (Smoky) forms part of Altius Australia Pty Ltd (Altius) Isa South Project. The project covers part of what is believed to be the southern covered extension of the strongly endowed Western Succession, which contains multiple world-class sediment-hosted massive sulfide (SHMS) Zn-Pb-Ag-Cu deposits, including the Mt Isa Mine, hosted in Paleoproterozoic sediments of the Isa Superbasin. Altius is focused on discovering analogues of the Mt Isa-style SHMS deposits within fault-controlled depocentres concealed beneath Mesozoic and Cambrian sedimentary cover. Negotiations during the 5th year with potential JV partners were not successful so Altius have made the decision to not renew EPM26519.
