Transcriptome Assembly of Native Eggplant Fruit and Shoot Borer (Leucinodes orbonalis)

The project aimed to establish transcriptome data for native eggplant fruit and shoot borer (Leucinodes orbonalis) in eggplant farms in the Philippines. Third instar larva were collected from host eggplants from five different locations, herby called the field-collected population. An F1 lab-reared population was also established by rearing parent EFSB larva in calabaza fed with 10% honey solution.This project was done under the Functional Genomics Laboratory, National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, University of the Philippines Diliman.
