This dataset supports the manuscript "Sleep Quality and Perceived Recovery During a Competitive Season in French Professional Ice Hockey Players" (Bourlois et al., in review, Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport). It contains longitudinal monitoring data collected over a full 26-week competitive season (September 2021 – March 2022) for 22 male professional ice hockey players from a French Division 1 team. Players are anonymised using codes P01–P22. The decoding key linking codes to real identities is stored separately and is not included in this deposit. The dataset comprises 8 sheets:1. Player profiles (physiological, performance, and seasonal summary variables)2. Daily Hooper Index raw data (2,151 nights: sleep, fatigue, stress, muscle soreness, sleep duration)3. Weekly Hooper averages per player4. Monthly Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) assessments (6 time points)5. Initial physiological assessment (VO2max, FCmax, PMA)6. Individual Firstbeat session data (TRIMP, HR zones, training effect)7. Group Firstbeat session data (TRIMP, rolling 7-day load, EPOC)8. Match data (results, travel, and pre-match Hooper scores) A codebook (Codebook_DK_Hockey.xlsx) describing all variables, units, scales, and coding conventions is included.
