Transcriptional analyses of stalled bacterial predation by mutant Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus

Targetted mutation of Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus pilus-associated genes generated mutants which were stalled early in predation and unable to complete predation. These could only be rescued as Host-Independent mutants. Transcriptional profiles of early predation were obtained for these mutants and compared to predation-capable Host-Independent mutants.
