CERP Picayune Strand - Ten Thousand Islands Breeding and Migrating Bird Population Count

These monitoring studies provide an inventory of breeding and migrating landbird and marshbird populations within the Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge.

This monitoring dataset is associated with the USGS Bird Point Count Database and the USGS Marsh Birds Database. The USGS Point Count Database provides a public, searchable repository for point count data collected anywhere in North America. It also serves as a place for collaboration, a tool for managing surveys, and is the official site for National Wildlife Refuge point counts. The Point Count Database is housed at USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, and was built in cooperation with the American Bird Conservancy and the USFWS National Wildlife Refuge system. The USGS Marsh Birds Database provides data management capabilities for participants conducting surveys under the National Marsh Bird Survey Program. This database is housed at USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, and was built in cooperation with the USGS Arizona Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit (University of Arizona) and the USFWS National Wildlife Refuge system.
