Comparing gene pathways between different modes of development in Nematoda

Divergent developmental strategies have been established in Metazoa.The nematode model organism C. elegans is an example for fast development (and short life-cycle). On the cellular level early development in Acrobeloides nanus is distinctly different from the model species C. elegans. Here we study the genome and transcriptomic data throughout the development of A. nanus to investigate the molecular mechanisms of development in this nematode. This study provides information about evolutionary changes in early development in Nematoda.
