This is the first point of interest for my cultural history: Nayarit. My paternal grandfather comes from Nayarit, a state in Mexico. Although we are not sure which town he was born in, we know he grew up on a ranch and worked in the mines. Over the years, we have discovered that extended family still lives there, which keeps us connected to his roots. Notably, Nayarit is famous for its Huichol indigenous culture, clear waters, and delicious seafood, which are among the reasons I hope to visit in the future.
