In this study Poly(A) selected RNA was isolated from Vaccinia virus (VACV) infected Vero (Chlorocebus sabaeus) cell lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 hours post infection, reverse transcribed to double-stranded cDNA. The cDNA was sequenced using a Oxford Nanopore Technologies' MinIon sequencer and PacBio Sequel platform. In the case of MinIon sequencing the reads were barcoded. We demultiplexed the reads by Albacore. We mapped all of the reads to the reference sequence LT966077 and to the host genome using GMAP.
