This dataset, officially named the *Academic Publication Dataset for FP7 Project Reports*, was developed by the Executive Agency of the European Research Council. Its core objective is to support evaluative bibliometric analyses of funding schemes by establishing links between academic publications and project-level funding. The dataset encompasses approximately 245,000 unique Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), which were constructed by integrating data from diverse reporting channels and systematically matching and validating these records against external authoritative sources. During the creation process, data quality assurance measures were implemented, including validation and cross-referencing with external sources, to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of the dataset. Primarily, this dataset is utilized to assess the academic output of EU-funded projects, resolving the issue of missing data in funding-publication linkage analyses.
