Here we sequenced complete West Nile virus (WNV) Genomes from diverse samples from Germany that were tested positive for WNV in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Samples were selected to represent the spatial spread and the host species diversity. Viruses were shotgun sequenced according to the protocol published by Wylezich and colleagues (DOI:10.1038/s41598-018-31496-1) directly from tissue materials.
