Daily closing prices of S&P 500 and Shanghai Composite indices (2006–2025)

This dataset contains daily closing prices for two major equity market indices: the S&P 500 index (SPX) representing the U.S. stock market and the Shanghai Composite index (SSE) representing the Chinese A-share market. The sample covers all available trading days from 3 January 2006 to 30 June 2025.The original index series were obtained from WIND and are redistributed here for research and academic use.
