VPRS 8540 Agenda and Minutes [Refer to Microfiche Copy, VPRS 8615 for the period 1980-1985]

This series consists of agenda and minutes of the meetings of the Accreditation Board (1980-1986) subsequently known as the Victorian Post-Secondary Education Accreditation Board (1987-1990) (VA 3066). The former was responsible for the accreditation of courses offered by the Colleges of Advanced Education, Institutes of Technology and other post-secondary colleges. From 1987 the Board became responsible for the accreditation of TAFE courses. The agenda and minutes that constitute this series document this function.They record the consideration of new courses, re-accreditation and the declaration of colleges approved to accredit their own courses without further reference to the Board.Series Date RangeThe series which commenced in 1980 ended in 1990 when the VPSEAB (VA 3066) was abolished.Related RecordsPapers presented at Board meetings were filed separately and maintained in an annual single number sequence (refer to VPRS 8612 and VPRS 8616).
