First-year Planning Students' Perspectives on the Planning Profession

This dataset was generated from an online discussion forum on Padlet attended by first-year planning students in the Introduction to Urban and Regional Planning unit, Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning Program, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Indonesia. The forum explored how adaptable the planning profession is under the COVID-19 pandemic. Forum participants were asked to answer three questions. First, participants were asked how planners support public health protocols. The second question was, what planning products must be revised to adapt to the "new normal" situation? Finally, forum participants were asked what planners could learn from the COVID-19 outbreak to anticipate future challenges.

The dataset consists of two spreadsheets containing textual data in Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) from two cohorts - classes of 2020 and 2021.
