Laboratory Information Indexing System

The Lab Information Indexing System (LIIS) is a web-driven database application for laboratories looking to store their sample or culture metadata on a central server. Its design came out of a need to replace traditional paper storage and an easier to search format to compliment digital spreadsheets. The LIIS supports import and export of CSV spreadsheets, and stores general metadata designed to complement the environmental packages provided by the Genomic Standards Consortium. The goals of the LIIS is to simplify the archival process and provide and easy to access library of your labs annotations.
