This dataset contains (1) serial section EM images (.tif) and series files (.jser) for each 3DEM series for analysis using PyReconstruct software; and (2) spreadsheet files summarizing quantitative data that were used to generate figures in the manuscript entitled "New synaptopodin KO rat for assessing function of dendritic spine apparatus, axonal cisternal organelle, and altered kidney, bone, and behavior" (https://doi.org/10.1101/2025.11.25.690444). The data were acquired from adult synaptopodin knockout rats and their wild-type littermates.
