资源简介:

The I-CLAIM survey was designed to assess public perceptions of, and attitudes toward, irregularity among the general population in the six project countries: United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Poland and Finland. To achieve this objective, an online survey was administered by YouGov. The instrument combined ‘traditional’ survey questions with survey experiments , enabling the collection of data on public opinion regarding irregular migration and irregular migrants, as well as broader attitudes toward immigration and relevant socio-demographic characteristics. The questionnaire was developed collaboratively within the I-CLAIM consortium through a series of workshops and structured discussions. It comprised six thematic sections and a total of 25 questions. Prior to fieldwork, the survey instrument underwent testing and piloting with a small group of respondents to ensure clarity and reliability. In addition to survey responses, the final dataset incorporated demographic information drawn from YouGov’s panel of registered users. The survey targeted the adult population residing in the I-CLAIM countries, with the objective of obtaining responses from a minimum of 1,000 participants per country. Respondents were selected from YouGov’s panel of registered users through a process of “targeted quota sampling”. This approach aimed to ensure that the sample closely approximated the composition of the Italian population. To enhance representativeness, YouGov applied sampling quotas and weighting procedures based on a range of characteristics, including age, gender, level of education, vote in the 2022 National Election, region of residence, location (urban/rural), and level of political interest. Data collection took place between 3rd and 23rd of February 2025. The statistical analyses were conducted using Stata. All data were examined using the most appropriate analytical techniques for each research question, applying the provided sampling weights throughout. In this folder you will find the date per country and information about the data (questionnaire, technical report, codebooks).
